The following sections describe the types of competition held at CSEC:
IDPA
IDPA is the International Defensive Pistol Association. CSEC hosts IDPA matches on the first Saturday of the month. IDPA matches are scenario-based run and gun matches using cardboard and steel targets. Find out more about the IDPA here. Find out more about the IDPA competition held at CSEC here.
USPSA
USPSA is the United States Practical Shooting Association, the US version of IPSC, the International Practical Shooting Confederation. CSEC hosts USPSA matches on the third Saturday of the month. Steel Challenge
Steel Challenge is associated with the USPSA. Steel Challenge matches consist of 8 standard stages each consisting of an array of 5 steel targets. The goal of the game is to shoot the targets as quickly as possible. A match may consist of between 6 and 8 of these stages. Find out more about Steel Challenge here . UHRC
UHRC is the Ultimate Hunter Rifle Competition. UHRC matches consist of 5 stages each consisting of an array of 3 steel targets at ranges from 100 to 500 yards. Equipment is what is typically carried while hunting. Find out more about UHRC here .
3 Gun
3-Gun or USPSA Multi-gun matches consist of USPSA-type stages shot with pistol. rifle and/or shotgun, hence the name 3-gun or multi-gun. Each stage may require the use of any or all of the firearms. PRS
The Precision Rifle Series (PRS) is an international competition for precision rifle focusing on long-range competition. Find out more about the PRS here
NRL22
The NRL22 is a division of the National Rifle League. The NRL22 was created to provide a way for shooters that are looking to get into the sport of precision rifle shooting the opportunity to do so without having to invest a lot of money in gear and travel. Find out more about NRL22 here.
LRP Jackpot
The Cameo Shooting and Education Complex is holding Long Range Precision Jackpot rifle matches. They are hosted by Action Pistol Group . The matches will allow you to shoot a number of individual contests and to enter the $5 jackpot on each game as well (optional). If you win the individual contest you take 1/2 of the pot. There will likely be 4-5 games shot at each session so you could potentially take home $200!
