NOTICE
Starting July 1st, 2025
Firearms MUST BE CASED when transporting from a vehicle to a shooting bay, from a shooting bay to a vehicle and from one bay to another. Cases must only be opened on a shooting bench at the firing line when using the public rifle and pistol shooting bays. When removing a gun from the case on the bench, the muzzle must begin oriented in a direction down range and remain pointed down range while at the bench.
For placing a long gun in one of the range rifle racks from the shooting bench, the gun must be empty, action open and muzzle pointed straight up at all times when not oriented down range.
DO NOT CASE OR UNCASE FIREARMS BEHIND THE FIRING LINE!
Open or concealed carry handguns are allowed but must remain in the holster until on the firing line. Once removed from the holster, all shooting must be performed from the “low ready” position (no drawing from the holster to shoot).
SHOTGUNS- (Sporting Clays)- Main Parking Lot
When placing uncased shotguns into the gun racks on our UTVs, the shotguns must be empty and the guns must go directly from the vehicle onto the rack of the cart and cannot be handled for any other purpose while in any of the parking areas at the MAIN facility/office.
North/South Clays Parking Lots
Customers are allowed to walk the courses. Shotguns may be carried from vehicle onto courses. Semi- auto shotguns must have action open, carried muzzle up. Break open shotguns may be carried “open” over the shoulder or forearm with the muzzle pointed at the ground.
Customers may hold onto unloaded shotguns while transporting them from station to station inside the UTV with muzzle pointing straight up.
Acceptable cases are:
- Hard cases
- Soft zippered range bags or cases
- Original shipping boxes
- Rigid holsters that cover trigger guard and maintain shape when empty!
We have a variety of cases available for purchase in the main office at very reasonable prices. Please leave your firearm IN YOUR VEHICLE if you do not have a case and visit our office for check in.
The only exception to this rule is if approved as part of a permitted event.
